Lyndsay is the Chief Executive of CIEL – the Centre of Innovation Excellence in Livestock.
CIEL is one of the UK’s 4 Agri-Tech Centres established as a key pillar of the government’s Agri-Tech Strategy. CIEL works in partnership with leading livestock research institutions and a group of industry Members spanning the entire agri-food supply chain. CIEL aims to use these collaborative partnerships to enhance and accelerate business-led livestock innovation – as well as inspire and identify opportunities which could lead to the development of new products, services and techniques that can benefit the entire supply chain.
Lyndsay has a wealth of experience in the food and farming sector. She has worked in a variety of roles with dairy processing businesses and on corporate responsibility bodies. Her key areas of responsibility have included procurement, communications and business development. Lyndsay’s previous roles, prior to starting as Chief Executive of CIEL in September 2017, were:
- Agriculture Director for Müller – with responsibility for direct milk supply and representing farming within the business and externally.
- Dairy Crest, holding several positions but latterly Director: Agriculture & Communications. Here she was responsible for farming strategy and establishing and maintaining supply chain relationships, working closely with many farmer groups and customers.
Lyndsay is an enthusiast and champion for the promotion of British food, farming and the wider environment.
